Brown Noise

Deep, low-frequency noise designed for sleep, focus and blocking distractions.

Choose your brown noise

Brown Noise

Focus & everyday background

A deep, steady background without the strongest low-end emphasis of the Deep Brown version. A reasonable choice to try for working, studying or general background listening if you prefer brown noise but still want a little more upper-frequency presence.

Deep Brown Noise

Sleep & winding down

A heavier, more bass-weighted brown-noise option for listeners who prefer an especially deep background while sleeping, resting or winding down.

What is brown noise?

Brown noise — also called Brownian noise and sometimes red noise — is broadband noise that gives substantially more relative weight to low frequencies than white or pink noise. In its idealized form, power falls by roughly 6 dB per octave as frequency rises, creating a deeper, bass-heavy sound.

Brown vs white vs pink noise

White noise is the brightest, pink noise is more gently weighted toward lower frequencies, and brown noise is the deepest of the three standard colors. The difference is acoustic; it does not by itself prove a different effect on sleep or concentration.
